Explore the next level of Milonga & Vals through four Milonga classes and two Vals classes. Students will develop Traspié variations and crosses, turning Baldosas, walking turns, Giros, Ocho Cortado, Rebotes, and playful Amagues. The Milonga portion also explores starting embellishments, ending poses, musical phrasing, accents, and improvisation. The Vals classes focus on walking turns, Giros with Ocho Cortados, and Sacada exchanges. Emphasis is placed on musicality, connection, smooth transitions, floorcraft, and confident social dancing.
Prerequisite: Tango Foundations - I or equivalent experience is required. Milonga & Vals Foundations - I is optional.

Expand your rhythmic vocabulary through forward–back, lateral, diagonal, and crossing Traspié variations. Explore the cross and cross–uncross combinations, learning to weave these movements into your Milonga walk with clear weight transfers, comfortable connection, and smooth transitions between Lisa and Traspié.

Explore turning Baldosas, walking turns to the left and right, and compact Giros. Learn how to enter, connect, and exit these turns while maintaining shared balance and musical timing. Students will practice adjusting rotation and step size to dance comfortably within the ronda.

Discover playful ways to interrupt movement through compact Ocho Cortado variations, Rebotes (rebounds), and new Amagues (feints). Explore how a brief stop, change of direction, or suggested movement can create rhythmic surprise, then return smoothly to walking or turning.

Explore how to begin a Milonga with simple embellishments, connect figures through musical transitions, and finish with comfortable, expressive poses. Develop your response to musical phrasing and accents, bringing the Milonga classes together through improvisation that adapts to your partner, the music, and the available space.

Discover the sweeping character of Vals through walking turns to the left and right, flowing Giros, and Giros combined with Ocho Cortados. Students will explore how to move between continuous rotation and elastic changes of direction, developing smooth entrances and exits while maintaining balance, connection, and the distinctive rhythm of Vals.

Explore Sacada exchanges in which leaders and followers alternate stepping into the space their partner leaves. Students will develop the positioning, timing, and clear weight transfers needed to connect these exchanges within turns. Emphasis will be on comfortable coordination, maintaining the flow of Vals, and finding practical entrances and exits for social improvisation.
