Date: July 26th
Time: 2:15 to 5:00 PM
Venue: Big Room, 1680 Bryant St, Palo Alto
Big Room, 2:15 - 3:30p
Christy will guide participants through three foundational elements of Argentine Tango: Forward Ochos (including Ocho Cortado), Back Ochos (Deep Back Crosses), and the Follower’s Cross. These core movements are essential for understanding the follower’s role in this improvisational dance.
Participants can work at their own level—whether learning a Forward Ocho for the first time or refining it with advanced styling and embellishments. There will also be an opportunity to record practice exercises for use at home.
Big Room, 3:45 - 5:00p
Christy will guide participants through two foundational elements of Argentine Tango: Molinetes and Boleos. These core movements are essential for understanding the follower’s role in this improvisational dance. Participants can work at their own level—whether learning a Boleo for the first time or refining it with advanced styling.
Completion of Follower’s Technique I is strongly recommended before attending Technique II, unless you are an advanced dancer. Mastering the four elements covered in these workshops will prepare you to walk with a partner and confidently respond to invitations involving any of the five foundational elements of tango.
Participants will also have the chance to record practice exercises for use at home.

Leader’s Technique – Walk, Ochos, Giros & Boleos
A foundational technique class for leaders to refine the core elements of Argentine tango. We’ll focus on posture, intentional walking, and the mechanics of leading ochos, giros, and boleos with clarity, balance, and precision. Through detailed exercises and partner work, you’ll strengthen your ability to lead with confidence, connection, and flow—building a solid base for expressive and elegant dancing.
Karn, founder of Feeling Flow, began dancing at age 7, inspired by Michael Jackson’s Dangerous, and later trained in over a dozen forms including Salsa, Bachata, and Argentine tango. Since 2015, his tango journey has been shaped by masters like Pablo Verón and Richard Powers. A seasoned teacher and performer, Karn weaves meditation into his work, fostering authenticity and presence. Through Feeling Flow, he is growing a vibrant community of dancers and artists—hosting a thriving live music scene, alumni workshops for MIT-CNC and Stanford, and the Bay Area Maestros series uniting the region’s most experienced tango teachers.
